Why a Eudemon card game?
The EUDEMON GAME is a way of communicating, transferring and encouraging the implementation of the Eudemon proposal for the prevention and resolution of eco-social conflicts.
A game that reflects in itself the interactive and collaborative nature of the Eudemon style, and shows the potential of using creative materials to channel dialogue and collective reflection. In addition, it allows the creation of work scenarios accessible to people with different abilities, training levels and/or areas of knowledge, and offers different results depending on the agency of the participants.
The gamification of the Eudemon protocol responds to three objectives:
Pedagogical: facilitate the knowledge and integration of some key elements of conflict resolution and the construction of territorial governance.
Communicative: explain in an experiential, simple and enjoyable way what the Eudemon procedure consists of.
Performative: helping stakeholders start designing an action strategy for their area of influence.
General game approach
The game is based on the need to carry out a fair, inclusive and truly transformative eco-social transition. And it encourages all those interested in taking on this challenge to become mediating-facilitating teams capable of providing collective responses to global problems and addressing conflicts through dialogue and consensus.
-
It is a cooperative game, in which players must discuss and agree on each of the moves that are carried out, promoting their teamwork skills. Which makes it, at the same time, a tool for collective learning.
-
The objective of the game is to involve and keep the different actors involved at the dialogue table, overcoming the challenges that arise, as well as unlocking the attributes of the dialogue typical of the EUDEMON protocol.
-
Through the game, the players draw up a roadmap (initial intervention proposal) for a specific territory-conflict that allows social plurality to be managed and converge towards a common project of eco-social transition.
Request the Game
All entities, groups and individuals working in the field of eco-social transition are offered free access to the game, which will be distributed free of charge online to those who request it and will be sent by post in a printed version (12 euros of expenses). It has two versions: in Catalan and Spanish.
Likewise, the Eudemon team will monitor the game experiences, assess the conclusions and provide assistance in case of doubt or suggestion.
We offer face-to-face or telematic training sessions to trainers and entities that want to use the game as a pedagogical tool and want to make the most of it. Calendar, format and remuneration to be agreed.
Team
The game is an original idea by Sigrid Muñiz and Jaume Moya, and has been developed by the EUDEMONproject team based on the Eudemon protocol for conflict prevention and resolution, and with the technical and design support of SCIENSEED.
